As a member of the 09 Elite Development Squad for Rapids Youth Soccer, Alex and his team were invited to a tournament in Kansas City. They got to go by bus due to the exorbant plane ticket costs and the moms (aka Jina, Jessica, Jenny and Tami with some grandma's) drove to take part in the adventure. It was a great weekend. I'd never been to Kansas City, really. It is more beautiful that I imagined and the ride was awesome with great company and the boys played well. They didn't make it to the finals, but they represented. And the fact they hadn't played in a game together at all, the were amazing. The ECNL director was their coach for the weekend and in the end, invited Alex to train with them through December. He's pretty pumped. Here's a photo story of his soccer tournament.

Jina. It was such whirlwind. We got home late at night and had a great weekend, making memories. Grateful for good friends for myself and for my kids.
