I really am happier when we are busy. Although, it's nice to take a break every once in a while too, but not too often! Summer is almost always full. But, as the kids get older, they want to be with friends and do different things, so I'm left at home, waiting for someone to need me. I'm okay with that, it's just different. Adjusting all the time, right?!
Our kids love Utah State for their ice cream, so at least that's a step in the right direction.
They also love eating out with Grandma and Reggie. We do have fun.
We hit water world for the first time this year. Ethan went a few times with friends and loved it.
Stukas boys, Ethan and Nunnally boys.
Then, there's these two crazy kids!
Kedzie still dances, one night a week at Artistic Fusion...Contemporary and performed beautifully at her dance recital in June. So proud of her desire to be healthy and happy.
We spent hours this summer watching World Cup Soccer. We cheered on Colombia and Germany! They didn't win the cup, but they played well. We do love a good soccer game.
France one and some people had to go pick up poop!
Triston and Alex with friends celebrating a birthday.
Etan is in there somewhere celebrating someone's birthday!
The kids had swimming lessons in the mornings and Wiley and I would go wait to bring to and from. He didn't like the pool, but sometimes liked watching the kids.
Crawdad fishing is a must each summer. With the Krause boys.
We had a major hail storm. No damage to our home or cars, but the size of the hail was insane. Glad we were safe.
Kedzie continues to swim for the Frogs and loves it. During the summer, she's up 5 days a week to swim by 6:45am. It's pretty impressive. She's made some good friends too.
Triston and Alex had fun at cub scouts day camp. Thanks to Brookie for being a wonderful leader.
Had dinner with my DHS friends, Heidi, Jen and Erin. Grateful for them.
Love our puppy.
Had a date with this guy at Chili's. We loved the cake the most and Triston brought a fork home with his leftovers! Forever memory!
$.99 bowling withe the Dorsett's, Nunnally's, Schlais's and Ravsten's!
Alex decided to cut his own hair. He's 9 people. It was in his face. He took action!
Still love Wiley!
There was plenty of soccer for the boys this summer as well. XR camp and Thursday night futcinco. Always fun to watch them play.
Party time at the pool.
The boys with their favorite swim teacher.
Our friend Robyn is fostering brand new baby twin girls. This was them at about one month old. We had the privilege of babysitting them quite a bit this summer. It was special time for all of us. They were so tiny and so sweet. Grateful for the opportunity to serve and to know that these babies are special to our Heavenly Father and are put on this earth right now with a major purpose. Hoping for an adoption for Robyn.
The Kirk's came to visit over the 4th of July with their RV and kids! We had to hit Cinzetti's for all you can eat, go swimming, go to Boondocks, and laugh together. It was great they came. Grateful for our life long friendship and family tie.
We kept Cara for just over a week. She and Kedzie had the greatest time and Kedzie got to experience what it would be like to have a sister!!! She stayed while we went on Trek, then Grandma drove her home. It was perfect timing.
More thursday night soccer, Ethan's at goal.
Kedzie and Olivia held their 2nd annual kids kamp. It's so great for everyone involved. They make money, help parents and have a ton of fun. Ethan even had a good time with some of the kids. Proud of them and their hard work.
More babies.
More sisterly love!
My sleeping baby!
Who knew Triston had a twin?!!!
Some lunch after XR camp.
Triston's team playing for the championship.
The boys and some of Alex's cute teammates at XR camp.
The boys playing with the twins, T&B at the Bradford's.
I did forget to mention that Alex played 3v3 this summer, an hour from home and most games, we played our own team. It wasn't super organized, but man was it fun to watch them play soccer differently. They ended up winning and learning a lot.
They had a 3v3 tournament in Longmont and took second place.
"TATB"
My babies.
Sure, we can climb the fence!
Reggie planned a surprise party, that wasn't a surprise for Travis's 40th. He even wrote up the invitations. I had to intercept before mailing so we got them to the people we wanted to invite! He loves his big brother so much.
