January 2018

2018 started off with a successful doctor appointment for Kedzie and a week full of soccer training for the boys. No rest for the weary! Kedzie's back is awesome. No concerns whatsoever.  So grateful.

XR Soccer Training was super fun. It was indoor and the guest coaches were the soccer coach from Creighton Univeristy, and Perez and Serna from the Colorado Rapids. So much fun to have experiences with such fantastic soccer players.  Alex won a Creighton scarf for having the craziest talent of doing the worm backwards! He was pumped. Grateful for the opportunity to improve soccer skills and get energy out of my kids!

Our favorite puppy!

Travis took the boys to a hockey game and they had a blast.

We went skiing at Keystone. Everyone is making such great progress. It was a lot of fun. Triston decided to become a skier, so he took a lesson and is a natural. So proud of him. His snowboarding paid off and made skiing much easier for him. It was a beautiful day and a lot of fun. They really don't even need me anymore!

And they are exhausted!

Got to go on a fun field trip with my boys. They have fun friends.
Jeremiah, Triston, Beckam, Alex and Matthew.

Naveah fell asleep on Triston!

We tried skiing again at Breckenridge and I'm glad we survived the drive there. Sunshine and blue skies on one side of the tunnel and inches of snow on the other side. My tires are bad apparently! But, we made it and a great day of powder skiing.  It was hard for the boys cuz they've never skiied in it before but it was fun!

Sadie, Tiffany and Brock united again.
These kids are Tiffany's biological children, but Brock was adopted as a newborn.  He found Tiffany and Tiffany was able to tell everyone that her son found her and her family. It's a wonderful reunion.

I found my dad's girlfriend that he had when he passed away.  I messaged her and asked if she knew him. She responded that she did and then I told her he was my dad.  Didn't hear any more from her and I felt so good.  For years, I've just wanted her to know that I'm okay and her relationship with my dad and the fact that she got his life insurance policies, did not ruin me. I'm sure the b&w picture is what she looked like when they were dating and on the right, is current, but she looks like Edna on the Incredibles.  I'm just happy to have found her.

Ethan was the grocery store manager at Young Ameriatown and was awesome! I was at this field trip as well and it was awesome to see him in action and having such a fun day.  He had a great team to work with. It's hard to believe I have another one about to enter middle school!

Rainbow Unicorns! Just love them.

Ethan stayed home a day from school and we snuggled. It was great.

Nate, Travis, Rick and Aaron in Denver

These three were selected as Mighty Meadowlarks at school for academic performance.  They are smart, they are fun, they are proactive, they are kind.  It was awesome to see them recognized by their teachers and honored at an assembly.  So proud of them.

Ethan's first experience at outdoor, winter scouting. Travis was fortunate (or not) enough to go with him. It was just a Saturday so no sleeping over yet.  But, he was happy to be with all the older scouts.

Wiley got this snowman or Christmas from Grandma Kathy.  It's his favorite toy ever.  He murders it all the time and we have to send it in for surgery on his butt, legs, nose and hat regularly.
