Soccer in Steamboat

Team Colombia

What an opportunity we were given through soccer...having an amazing coach in Alfonso Romero, who taught Alex and Triston so much about the game and about relationships and managing emotions.  Thankful for Alfonso and the team he created out of these boys and one girl this past season.  The team will be split up beginning this fall, and Alfonso will be moving up to coach a competitive team. As our last hurrah, we went to Steamboat in July to participate in a tournament.  First real tourney for our boys and us. We spent the weekend making memories as a family and with friends.  Our boys didn't play in the championship game on Sunday which was really hard for all of us, but the team took 2nd.  So proud of these kids and how hard they worked all year to accomplish such a feat. Something we will always remember.

Kam, with the ball, connected with Alex to score in this shot. So awesome.

We had a lot of fun in the Yampa River

These three are my favorite soccer buddies and life buddies.
