Isn't she beautiful? I think her hair cut makes her look so much more mature! She's still only eight and I love that she is still young and innocent. She's amazing. She still has trouble doing things we ask her to do when we ask, but that's beside the point. She's practically perfect, just like I was at age 8!!!
Kedzie is doing awesome in the second grade. She loves reading and is making wonderful progress in her writing. She has a wonderful class and teacher. There is no drama this year with other kids and I love that.
She still loves horses and plays with them in her head and with her toy horses quite regularly. Although, recently she has discovered Monster High Dolls and has requested them for her birthday! She has conquered skiing this year and she moved from upstairs near her family, to the basement all by herself. She's very brave and hasn't had one night of fear in the basement. We are so proud of her.
Kedzie is enjoying her drama class this winter where she will be the Giant in the show, Jack and the Beanstalk! She's also self learning about how to play basketball as she watches her brothers practice their basketball!
Kedzie is taking a tap class and acrobat class and is making such progress. Her costume for tap this year, a pink cowgirl outfit! It couldn't be more perfect! She finds a lot of joy in dance and taps around the house constantly. I'm grateful she loves dance, especially after finding out on Friday that she now has scoliosis.
Kedzie has a deep testimony of her Father in Heaven and prayer. She is a great example to the rest of her family. When she is struggling or scared, or quite simply has lost something, the first thing she thinks of is to pray to her Father in Heaven. What a wonderful young lady she is.
Kedzie continues to miss her Grandma Mary and keeps her alive in our lives. I'm grateful for their relationship and know that my mom continues to watch over and guide Kedzie as she lives her life.
Miss Kedzie is a girly girl. She loves going with me to get her nails painted and is always wanting to put on make up. She has fun practicing for days far away! She is in a skirt 90% of the time and she told me today that she likes two boys! I think we are in trouble.
Saturday we celebrated her birthday with two of her closest friends, Lindie and Cali by going to get nails painted and have tea at the Huckleberry. She of course had to wear a fancy dress. It was a memorable day for me and I hope she felt loved and joy as we celebrated her special day.
Love you Miss Kedzie

I love your words though. You cried and cried and woke the next morning planning to see Kedzie all distorted and a mess - she was not! All my love to you Emily. Your kids are amazing and beautiful and so are their parents. I LOVE YOU!
