Well, we are officially foster parents for Adams County! It doesn't mean that we have a child in our home yet, but it means that we wait now until the phone call comes. We've done all the training and the home studies and we are ready to go. Ethan was hopeful that we would get the child today, but this whole process takes a lot of time. A lot!
Kedzie will be moving to the basement in the next few weeks so that her room is available for the child. She is anxious about this, but what a sacrifice she is making. We are grateful to her for her willingness to change and have promised her just about anything to make her room downstairs "her room." She's excited to get some sticker decals for the walls. It will be fun.
So, we wait for our first foster child, aged 0-4 to come to our home. I'm not anticipating that the first child in our home will find a forever home with us, but I'm eager for the day when a child is able to call our home it's forever home. However, I'm leaving it ALL in the Lord's hands and count on Him to make this happen the way He wants it to happen. That is the only way I can do this. So, here we go!
