Alex has suffered from a hamstring injury for years and we finally realized that it was actually an injury! Duh! He's been going to PT for a few months and not running fast or playing to his full potential and it's been hard, but progress is being made. He finally played most of a scrimmage the first weekend in November. I was giddy to see him out there. He is a talented soccer player. I hope he can keep pushing himself once he's cleared for full play. The season starts in four weeks!
(update: December, he's cleared and rocked his first two season games!)
Yup!
I turned 48 on the 9th. It was a wonderful birthday full of a week of celebrating. Dinner with Travis at a delicious steak house, flowers from Ethan with touches from our backyard by Travis. Hugs from the boys and a sign and Kit Kat from Kedzie; oh and a pancake dinner! I felt loved by my family and from texts and Facebook friends. I was also surprised at work with a pumpkin pie, and all the fun things you see above. It was awesome. Ended the week with dinner with the Holland's and Thornton's. Couldn't be more loved!
This is so applicable to me as a mom right now. I have it here to remember forever.
November 12th First day for the boys at Loveland!
Just the thing we are going through in our phase of parenting right now.
A peak at my office. Austin, Kristine, Natalie and Bridget. I sit next to Austin and Carolyn sits next to me and Suzanne is across from her. I'm pretty happy in this room chatting and working with these peeps.
My cute little babies! lol
Blackmail!
