She still loves sleeping on laundry...whether clean or dirty!
Kedzie had her right knee fixed on July 19th. She's such a trooper. This time the surgery was at Children's and it was less invasive. She doesn't have to grow back bone, just heal some muscle and tendons. They shaved down something to hold her knee cap and added a cadaver tendon to tighten things up. She's three weeks post op right now and about one week away from driving and so close to walking without crutches. We are grateful for this surgery and know that she'll be so strong from here on out. Her knee caps won't pop out on her anymore!!! Please let this be the end of surgeries for her. Please?! She's pretty great tho. She just keeps going and this time around she's not depressed. We are grateful for prozac and time and this procedure. Go Kedzie Go!
Space between knee cap; before surgery
and snug as a bug in a rug; after surgery
Remarkable!
Beautiful Colorado!
Soccer IQ Spanish Coaches Camp
A first for Alex and he loved it. Every day they would work on a specific position on the pitch and learn some amazing coaches from Spain. Plus, he trained with his friends; old and new. Sage, new twin friends, and Noah
In case you didn't know, Triston's a shoe, car and chip kinda guy. These things make him happy. He worked last season as a ref and made enough money to buy these Jordan's! Expensive and he's so happy.
Another 3v3...the toughest one of the summer. Thanks to Raelynn for some amazing shots of Alex
Select I players took 2nd while Select II and I players took 1st place! They wanted it more and they didn't stop until they got it. It was awesome to watch these friends play against each other and celebrate Select II's win! It was well deserved.
Best soccer mom's eva!
Jessica, Jina and me!
The end of July, Travis headed to Utah with Triston and Ethan for camps and I stayed home with the other two. I liked to joke that it was our "trial separation!" Needless to say, in the divorce, I'll get these two and he'll get those two. But, happy to say....no divorce needed. Trial separation; although a great test and the week went well, we never need to try it again! No separation or divorce ever! (I'm a dork).
Although, it was rather quiet and calm the entire week.
We love our missionaries right now. Robinson and Laub. They come over and like to sing and give us a quick message. They make most of us super happy!
Travis took Triston to BYU for Soccer Camp where he rocked it. His team took second in the play offs and again, he made tons of friends and had a great week. No pictures from him, but happy to say that he did text me on a daily basis.
Ethan, enjoying his muscle's at Aunt Kris'
Anyway, Travis dropped him off at BYU for EFY Adventure somewhere south of Payson and he loved it. I think he even tried to feel the spirit and learn something spiritually. He doesn't really want to talk about it! More importantly, he was brave and went on his own and made 14 new friends and learned to mountain bike and loved the volleyball and got dirty and made memories. Love it.
Meanwhile, Kedzie is rehabbing at home and the dogs are super, super helpful
Alex played in the state cara tennis tournament. He won the first round and lost in the second. I was lucky enough to watch the winning match and see how much he enjoyed himself playing tennis.
One reason Alex stayed home from BYU camp was so he could go with his friends to play 3v3 in Vail. We missed the twins due to some technical issues; but he had a great weekend with Cristian, Mason, Wyatt and Noah. The boys took second again! They beat Real in the first match and lost to them in the last match. So frustrating, but we had fun nonetheless. He went up with the Arters on Friday, I met him up there on Saturday and we stayed through Sunday. He had a great weekend of playing and I was relaxed as I wasn't in charge and I was the only mom among ten people.
Nick, Nick, Corey and Juan
Travis, Triston and Ethan stopped on their way home to say hello and Triston actually hugged me...photographic evidence. Don't mind that he's on his phone! smh
We staying in an airbnb in Silverthorne. It was great.
My favorite 2nd place soccer players right here. Well done boys! Second stings, but you'll always have the memories of playing soccer together and being in Vail together.
