Christmas Day 2021

Christmas morning started at 6am this year. It was different! The kids are older and like to sleep in and they ask for expensive gifts, so opening goes a bit faster! But, it was a perfect morning of gift giving and sharing followed by a delicious breakfast and then for the first time in forever, I went to work! I chose to work Christmas because I had to work a holiday. But, I wondered if it would be good for me to not sit and focus too much on my mom being gone and the fact that kids just want to play video games. By me working, everyone was happy. Travis even said so! It worked out! It was pretty great.

In the afternoon everyone headed over to Julie's to be with the Brigham/Bingham/Floyd families. (I was still working until 4:30) The boys all participated in a hot wings contest Jason put together. They were so brave and tried it all. I couldn't have done it. Well, wouldn't have I guess! Jason had wooden trays made with everyones names as well. Pretty awesome event.

Alex finished his Lego and Travis did his Santa one too.

I did have a chance to FaceTime while eating the hotwings. That made me happy.
It was quite a unique and wonderful Christmas. Time spent with family, working and with friends. I'm grateful for my people and my village who help me make it all work.
Merry Christmas!
