She's fifteen and has her permit!
How does time fly so quickly? This girl is now 5'7-1/2" and has a million dollar smile. She is confident and smart, kind and loves to babysit. She wishes her brothers would listen to her better and she is getting wonderful grades in high school. She is on swim team and swims two hours a day, five days a week. Sometimes at 5am. She does complain, but she doesn't quit! Gotta be real. I do too! She is a hugger, she doesn't care that she isn't popular, she is learning to manage her beautiful, curly hair, she is friendly to the friendless, and she wants to be a teacher some day. She makes me so proud.
Melanie, Brooke, Amber and not pictured, Lindie...are Kedzie's nearest and dearest friends. Lindie is her therapist and long time friend and confidant. They are opposites that attract. Melanie is a new friend from middle school and Brooke is a friend from swim team. However, the girls just realized that they went to pre-school together at TLC and had the same teacher. Pictures are adorable! Amber and Kedzie became friends in third grade. These girls are growing up together and are pretty fabulous. I'm so grateful for the friends that have chosen Kedzie and the friends Kedzie has chosen to be around. They are kind and loving, just like she is. They make her happy. Travis and I are truly blessed to have an amazing fifteen year old daughter who rarely gives us problems. And the problems she gives us are like doing her chore and practicing the piano. Nothing more than that. Phew, we dodged a bullet with her. She has a very special spirit that will impact many throughout her life. In January, she chose to receive her patriarchial blessing. What a special day for Kedzie, her dad and myself. The spirit was so thick, for lack of a better word. I just expected to open my eyes and see my mom and literal angels. She has an incredible life ahead of her and we are blessed to be witnesses to her journey. We love you Kedzie. Happy 15th birthday. Thank you for being our favorite daughter!
