Kedzie is a full blown teenager and we love her!

Oh how grateful I am for this daughter of mine. She is so wonderful and loving and has grown up so much in the past year. It's quite amazing. She is now taller than me, she is working hard and doing well in school, she has lovely friends, she has a growing testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She knowingly acts like an only child at times, but she is the only girl around here besides me! She is now a Mia Maid in Young Women and serves as the secretary in her class presidency. She loves watching Once Upon A Time, Flash and Aarow on Netflix. She loves playing Minecraft especially with Ethan. She is making money as a babysitter and is now working to get her 40 hours of service to earn her Honor Bee at church because she recently received her Young Womanhood Medallion. She was accepted into the SOAR Program at Horizon and is eager to be a part of art and orchestra in High School. She continues to play the piano and is a great conversationalist with most people. She always makes a friend wherever she goes. I love Kedzie so much. I'm grateful she's our first born. Grateful for her love and her example to me and to our family. Happy 14th birthday Miss Kedzie.

This year she chose to have dinner, cake and movie at our house with her closest school friends. These girls are wonderful. They are smart and kind and quirky. I'm glad Kedzie has them as friends.

Kedzie apparently inherited my mom's knees. Her knee cap, on occasion, will slip so we went to PT and she has a muscle that isn't working. We now have this handy machine at home that stimulates the muscle and brain to start working again so she won't have such troublesome knees.  Grateful for good medical care and smart physical therapists.

Since Kedzie is such a great babysitter and making money, she got to open a checking/savings account! She's just growing right up. She is so excited to have an actual debit card. Proud of her being so responsible.
Pre-Hawaii/Birthday mani/pedi. Grateful to have a girl to go do this with.

Kedzie was so excited to be in Hawaii on her actual birthday. It was a blustery day, but we had fun. We ate good food and she wanted to watch the sunset in Waikiki. It wasn't the most amazing sunset ever, but she got to see it in Hawaii, on her birthday! Love this girl and love what she makes me feel as I look at her as her mom. Heavenly Father blessed me with a wonderful young woman to grow up with. I'm so grateful for Kedzie. Happy birthday sweet girl!
