Oh Hawaii...the Ravsten's love you!
How can a mom pass up $300 round trip tickets for a week to Oahu? Well, this mom couldn't pass it up so over President's Day weekend and a few days before, we headed to Waikiki and the North Shore for some R&R and family time. It worked. We had a memorable vacation. I'm grateful for my little, imperfect, chaoic, loving family. I don't know how I would survive without them.
We spent a few nights in Waikiki with some major winds the first day. But, Ethan and Alex can always say they were the only people swimming in the ocean at Waikiki that day. It was 65* and they were the only ones brave enough and they loved it.
We went to the Bishop's museum and many beautiful beaches. We ate from shrimp trucks and burger shacks. We spent most of our time in Laie, my happy place. Ethan went to the Temple for the first time with Kedzie, Travis and I. It was special to wait and have the Laie Temple as his first. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center and had a great day there. The boys even enjoyed the night show.
Is it too early to start looking for cheap flights again? Probably...but this trip was worth it all.
We love Hawaii. Aloha and Mahalo for the memories.
