My baby is eight?! Yes, he is

Alex had a really great birthday! He requested a vanilla cake with pink frosting and lego guys.  He even decorated the cake himself.  He loved it.  His party was at Progresh where he jumped and slid for two hours with his five best friends and his siblings.  He asked for money and a team USA soccer kit and donuts for breakfast.  He even chose fruit kabobs for his school snack.  Happy 8th birthday my sweet, little buddy.  I can't believe it's here already.

Travis was able to take some amazing pictures of Alex.  I couldn't just pick a couple of the best for this post.  They were all great.  Look at that personality! He is not only funny, he is a tease, he is super smart and very athletic. He is kind to others and a leader in his classroom. He is responsible and talented musically.  I can't wait to see what this kid grows up to become.  So far, it's pretty awesome. Grateful for a front row seat.

We took this picture with Grandma Mary's CTR ring.

Alex has chosen to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on June 3rd at 3pm.

Dad, Dustin Marx,  Perry Holland,  Bishop Forsyth and Reggie Ravsten were the priesthood holders at your confirmation on June 3, 2017.

You  receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and a lovely blessing from your Father in Heaven through your dad. You were blessed that you'll know that Heavenly Father is aware of you, He knows you, and He knows the decisions you'll make in your life. He's given you the gift of the Holy Ghost to guide, direct and comfort you. Find and seek after the Holy Ghost in your life. Have him as your constant companion and friend. Allow Him to guide you when you are lost, lift you when you are sad and help you  overcome challenges. As you do so you'll be guided by The Holy Ghost back home to Heavenly Father and you'll receive the blessings He has waiting for you. Know that by the Holy Ghost that your Savior came to earth to live a perfect life and die and be resurrected for your sins. That through the atonement you can become clean again just like at your baptism. The Holy Ghost will confirm those feelings of being clean whole and pure. Desire to choose the right and follow our Heavenly Fathers plan. See His miracles and His love and share it with others.

Baptism Day

Sister McRae was Alex's teacher before the ward split. He and Brock asked her to be their speaker.  So sweet.

Brothers forever. Nothing like doing two baptisms within 6 months!
