Summer randomness

Summer Randomness!

I take so many pictures of the things we do and so many of them don't make it on here.  But, I have some great photos, so here they are!  Things I don't want us to forget as we all grow older.

We got a new fish tank this summer.  23 gallons and was a lot of work the first month.  Currently we have 8 fish that are doing great and two little babies that have survived.  It's pretty fun.  The boys love having the tank in their room.  So, we now have 10 fish and an additional four betas.  We are crazy.

We've been playing reading bingo all summer. Each of the kids got to earn coupons and golden tickets once they got a bingo for reading 20 minutes a day. Here's Miss Kedzie in her new shoes! And, everyone earned a date with me and another date with Travis.  Mr. T and I went mini golfing and E and I went to dinner.  It's been a fun thing to do.

The kids have improved in swimming so much this summer.  And Kedzie wants to keep swimming. It's great exercise for her back.  They are all able to swim a minimum of one lap without help and they have loved their lessons.  They took four weeks worth this summer.  They worked hard and greatly improved their skills.

We went with the Nunnally's to a Rapids Soccer game.  It was pretty intense as the visiting teams coach and five players were red carded.  But, it was fun to watch.  We were so into the World Cup as well this year.  I love that my boys love soccer so much and that we all have fun watching it.

Ethan and Kedzie got to go with Jackson to Water World!  Aweosme.

This Sunset from our neighborhood was just amazing.

I love Diet Coke and my friend Erin!

What better place to play with the Krause's?

We've discovered our Home Depot does a project for kids every Saturday.  We now have some impressive stepping stones for our back yard!

I love Travis!
We went on a fabulous date to the Botanical Gardens and saw the work of Chihuli. It was impressive and such a fun, relaxing and needed date with Travis.

Amy Cottrell hooked us up with these!

Travis is finally in his upper 30's!  Happy Birthday to our favorite dad, friend and hubby!

The Ft. Collins Temple is moving right along! This was in July.  We are so excited.

Ethan, front left, is on the web page for our school! He's famous.  Along with all his kindergarten class!  So cute.  They were so little.

This threesome is going to give Ms. Jepperson a run for her money this school year!
The Triple Threat!

We renewed our membership to the Nature and Science Museum.  This was the boys favorite part.  Watching the balls move around.

Beehives painted eleven fire hydrants for an activity.  It was so fun and successful.

We went to Echo Lake last Saturday and had lunch and a hike around the lake.  We are blessed to live in such a beautiful state and not too far from the mountains.  Grateful my family loves the outdoors.

"The clappers"
Pauline, Eldon, Tosha, John, Jen, Bert, me, Carol and Leah
Tarra and Travis weren't present.  (no babysitter for us)

A little bit sad about this one.  Tosha and family are leaving "the clappers" for Oklahoma.  I guess you have to follow the job right?! Darn it.  We had a farewell sushi dinner with everyone last weekend and they are on their way tomorrow.  We had such an amazing ride over the last 14 years or so.  We got married, had kids, raised kids, cried about kids, lost friends, helped friends, ate sushi, and had an amazing experience together.  What a great friend.  She will truly be missed.

We have less than a week until school starts up again.  Everyone is ready and excited.  Life is good.  We are truly blessed.  Until next time! Love, EM
