Alex is five?!?!?!?!?!

People tell me it goes fast, but it goes really, really fast with your last child...your baby...your buddy!
Alex turned five on the 8th and couldn't be happier! He's finally the same age as his best friends.  And, he's old enough to go to kindergarten.

He wanted his cake to be a basketball and a soccer ball and he wanted to eat with his grandparents at HuHot for lunch.  He also didn't care what presents he got, he just wanted gifts! So, we started the day with a donut and presents, ended the day with cake, grandparents and the Krause's.  The 9th, we had no school so he had his friend party at the rec center pool.  He invited three kids from preschool and his besties Matthew, Colten and Mr. T and his siblings.  It was a great party.

Alex is an amazing person.  Our best part of the day together is bed time when we give each other a kiss, a zerbert and a "huggie." He is a great brother, most of the time to all his siblings.  He will clean almost anything I ask him too.  He has great tantrums and is great at manipulation! He is the baby and gets most things he wants, even though I try not to let that happen! He still wants me to hold him on a regular basis. He's getting to big for that, almost!

Alex is truly athletically gifted.  He has a led foot in soccer and a great shot in basketball.  And, he is constantly hungry! He will eat and eat and eat just about anything.  He knows his numbers and alphabet and he knows some easy addition facts.  He's going to be great in kindergarten.  He didn't even cry when he got his kinder shots last week.

Alex is a great kid.  I'm so grateful to be his mother. Happy birthday Alex!
