The end....

Five weeks was quite a while, and yet it went rather fast.  Kedzie is now cast free and we are all thrilled about it.  Although, the elbow is not perfect, it is fantastic and healing nicely.  Her little, shriveled arm still thinks it's in a cast, although each day she is able to move it around more freely.  She still eats, draws and does everything else with her left hand, but that's good for her right?!  Right.  We went swimming on Friday and she had a great time being in the pool again and actually swam really well.

Kudos to Kedzie as I thought she was a fantastic "patient!"  She rarely complained.  She didn't stick anything down her cast. She was careful to not get them wet.  She made sure she had as many people as possible sign in the cast and she was so happy throughout the entire experience, except when she broke it and when the pins came out.  But, we made it.

Here are some pictures of the pin removal (ewe) and the new yellow cast.  Followed by being cast free!  Love you Kedzie!
Thanks to Heidi Prince who came with us to get pins out!
She bought Kedzie "Bizzie" who is our newest family member and well loved!
So, the last picture with the pink cast.

Yes, she is on drugs!  See those pins!  Whoa.

Three pins on top and one on bottom.  The guy just pulled them out with his fingers
like it was nothing and she barely knew what was happening!
Although there was some blood, but she was so tough.

Sasha, our favorite cast and pin remover guy.  He was amazing.  And, the new cast!
Yes, she chose yellow because of her dress and Bizzie!

The last yellow cast picture.  Five weeks later.

Her sweet, little arm.  We're glad to see you again!
