Let's play catch up!

Our wonderful friend organized a kiddie softball team for kids under five every other week throughout the summer. Seeing that our kids need a little bit of athletic influence in their lives, we quickly signed up!  Kedzie got a shirt and everything.  So, this week, here's how it went down.  All children started out in outfield and came to bat when beckoned.  Within thirty minutes, two kids were left in outfield and Ethan was one of three batting balls!  Oh and just as the game started, Kedzie saw a baby and wanted to hold the baby rather than play ball.  We finally convinced her to hit some balls.  She would hit and then turn around and run to hold the baby once more!  We couldn't convince her to run to first base.

On a related note, Kedzie says that I have a baby girl in my tummy and her name is "Jesus."  All of which are not true at this point in time!  Where did this gal come from?!  We are working on teaching her that Jesus is in fact a man and that maybe the baby girl could be named something more traditional, she thinks "Kedzie" would be a perfect name.
Ethan is our dare devil, no fear little guy.  Notice his attempt at getting as wet as possible.  We've been swimming every day this week for Kedzie's swim lessons.  Each day, Ethan has had a near death experience!  Well, sorta.  I found him hanging on the side of the wall, with a big smile, in the deep end on Monday.  Tuesday, he fell off a step and went under.  Wednesday, he got in the pool with his dry clothes on.  Thursday he walked down the first two steps, after a ball, and just kept walking and walking!  We didn't have lessons today!  Thank goodness. My goal at this time, is to help this child live through his second birthday!  We shall see.
Our little Princess Kedzie and her princess collection.  Kedzie's 11 year old friend doesn't "do" princesses anymore, so Kedzie adopted all of these ladies a few weeks ago.  She couldn't be more excited to have eight Cinderella's and two of everyone else.  There are only four Prince Charming's to go around this gaggle of women!  What's a guy to do?
My mom came to visit last weekend.  Kedzie bawled when we left her at the airport at the end of her stay.  Her constant play companion for four days...gone...just like that.  The traditional tea party now involves Ethan who is delighted to be a part of the festivities.  We had a great time with my mom.  And, Kedzie just can't wait until she comes back in August.

We are just doing what we can to have an enjoyable summer and it's working.  Life is good and we are truly blessed.

First off your kids look just like Travis...so crazy! But how cute and crazy are they. A girl can never have too many princesses, and a boy can never have too many death experiences. Sounds like your kids are as normal as can be. LOL
