March onward

Alrighty, time to record March, 2022! I think it's way better than March 2020 and hard to believe it's been two years of this stinkin' pandemic! Still wear mask on occasion, I do at work and some indoor facilities request it, but not many. Covid is still being passed around but it's not nearly as deadly. However, we are approaching the loss of 1 million Americans to this deadly virus.

In other news, we have three employed children! On a part time basis. Go Ravy's.
Triston is now an official referee. Gonna bring home some money!

Triston and Ethan reffed a scrimmage Alex played against a girls ECNL team. It was great to watch all three of my boys on the field together in different roles. Proud of the work they put into the things they do. Alex's team won btw!

When one is bored at church, this happens!

Alex got to spend some time with Noah and Nick at a Rapids game and is getting better at sign language! Super awesome.

Travis and I have a lot of lunch dates...30 minutes or less. He picks me up at work and we head somewhere, get food and he drops me back off at work! I love him! The end.

Wow, we love Phoebe. I'll work on pictures of Wiley! lol Phoebe goes to work with Travis a 2-3 days a week now and loves Rick and getting turkey and hanging out with the Nuf Said crew. He sends pictures every once in a while.

Kedzie girl was SOAR Student of the Month in February! Yeah!

Kedzie at her orchestra performance

Rachel and I meeting at Dr. Bohman's once again. This is not a rare occurrence. Just hilarious that it regularly happens that we are coming and going at the same time and same day!

What a wonderful surprise that Ethan had such a successful and positive experience wrestling for Horizon this year. He lettered and everything! He was also given the "slim fast" award as he was one of three that didn't gain weight throughout the season. The team is a family, they are supportive and encouraging and as far as I can tell, pretty great influences. I'm grateful for those people who told me that he could wrestle without having done it before. It was amazing, even with a broken arm, how much he grew and how happy this sport and these people made him. Can't wait to see what the next three years bring for him and this group of boys and the new coaches who are making an amazing environment for these young men.

Just a really cute picture! You're welcome.

Triston got to scrimmage with the 08 select team. Here's the proof! He's come so far with soccer this past year. He's fast and smart and confident. Love watching him play.

Kedzie and her Soar group when they went to Rocky Top Middle School for their big idea project and presented on stress and anxiety to the 8th graders.

Alex has loved practicing and playing with EDS this past fall and winter. This was his last training and now he's moving to tryouts for EDS/ECNL for next year. Grateful for opportunities to grow.

My car...my love of perfect numbers. I'm a dork. Side note, my car is only six years old. I drive too much.

Alex spent some time "playing" in the yard, water and garden and it made this mama so happy to witness.

Oh the hair!

This collage popped up in my google photos. Isn't he sooooo adorable and now so grown up?! Yikes it all happened so fast. Love him.

OMGosh, one more but this time my cute girls!

HAMILTON!
The Ravsten's, minus Triston who refused to come, adding in Melanie who was more than thrilled to take his ticket and join the party. It was just as amazing as anticipated. Life theater is incredible.

Abbie is a Sister Missionary!
Seattle, Washington

Proof that Ethan does participate in service projects at times.

This is Ben...this is Ben on drugs...this is Ben after he crashed on a long board, fractured his skull and got a concussion while Ethan was right next to him.

Ben fell going very fast down a hill without a helmet. Ethan was there to help and call 911. A woman drove by who happened to be a nurse and could take over the situation while Ethan called me on her phone. I was 45 minutes away. Travis was 10. I called Lori who was one minute away and then called Travis and Kelly and Nikole Odell who were a few minutes away to go and support Lori, Ben and Ethan. It was an amazing rally of amazing people all for the love of Ben. Grateful for good, supportive friends.

As I'm writing this, it's been nearly two months since the accident and Ben is doing great. Back to school, driving and being his crazy self with Ethan on most weekends. He has to back off from Defy, but he's doing so great. God is good. God provided Ethan and a random stranger to be there, the very moment Ben needed them the most. It was a miracle.

Kedzie and I went Prom dress shopping! Best experience ever! The school district had a pop up dress shop and we found two beautiful dresses for $10 a piece. We had a wonderful morning and we were so happy it was such a success. She's such a beautiful girl. I love her so much.

Three of my four nurses kids...Nolan, Logan and Ezra. Missing Teddy.

Alex is going to Stem Lab next year with Trindon and Braylon. Should be an adventure for us all. He'll be separated from Triston and on a different schedule, but the Bradford's will help us out as needed and he's excited for the engineering and math focus. He doesn't love school, and hopes everything will be different. I hope so too bud, I hope so too. Go Stem Lab!
