We don't generally spend more than five days in Utah and it's always hard on me emotionally because my mom isn't there. I was dreading this trip...two weeks in Utah while Triston and Ethan went to basketball camp and Alex went to soccer camp. However, I can now say that it was an enjoyable trip and probably the least emotional in almost ten years. I was grateful to spend 1-1 time with Alex and some 1-2 time with Triston and Ethan. I'm blessed with some amazing kids and it was great to spend a lot of fun time with them. Plus, I went to Lagoon twice in one week. Who does that?! Really, no one ever should, but it was fun nevertheless. We stayed with Tamie and Nate in Lehi, with Kris in Pleasant Grove, went to Kathy and Reggie's for a few days and then a hotel in Draper. I was able to see all my aunts and my dear friend Christa for a quick visit. It really was great. And now I know what the boys need to be happy. Ethan needs a Walmart, Triston needs food and Alex needs miniature golf. We golfed every day we were alone together, I think four times! Life is good and this was a good vacation. Travis and Kedzie had to work, so they joined us on Wednesday, went to Lagoon with us and then we hung out at the hotel and did the aquarium and some other things with Kathy and Reggie and drove home on Friday so we could get Kedzie ready for Kenya and Alex home for a soccer game. The life we live. We are blessed.

Two weeks in Utah and it was awesome!
Erin and Matthew joined the boys and I on our drive to Utah. We stopped to pick up Camden at the SLC airport and crammed back into the car and headed to Provo for the night before dropping off the basketball boys.
Go BYU Cougars!
So grateful there were sports camps this year. Just an awesome experience for everyone.
Roomies
Triston had a roommate from SLC. Matthew stayed with his mom at the hotel each night due to diabetes. Triston was apparently sooooo popular with all the other kids in attendance, that he didn't have much time for Matthew, Ethan and Camden. Those three boys were buddies for the week. Triston would have lines of people waiting to say hello to him, he was that popular. He was bummed when his team didn't make it to the finals, but he had "the most enjoyable week of his life." That was awesome to hear.
Ethan and Camden stalked up their fridge for four days! eek.
Alex and I hit the trampoline park, and mini golf. We found yummy food, hit lagoon and Park City with the Bjorkman ladies. We really did have an unforgettably amazing four days together.
We splurged and went to watch the USA vs Costa Rica game at Rio Tinto. Two USA games for Alex in one week. Not spoiled at all!
Ethan was watching out for Matthew throughout camp!
Triston playing his final game.
Ethan's in the red shoes playing for the championship. They lost in the last few seconds, but exciting to get to the end.
We spent quite a few nights at the Bateman's. I love seeing Tamie and reconnecting with her as we both understand losing our mom's. We are lucky to have her in Lehi.
Yum!
Alex had to have everyone check out Mulligan's for mini golf and batting cages.
We stopped to have dinner with Karen and Carol Godfrey and Lisa and her family. The boys made Triston some really interesting food at HuHot.
First thirty minutes of driving. He's good on the brakes and bad at multitasking while driving! ie, brakes, turning, blinker and watching the rode. We have some work to do! He'll be eligible to take drivers ed in August and get his permit in February!
A new fun app changed us to cartoon characters!
It was finally Alex's turn. He loved his roommate from Arizona/Mexico and had the greatest week playing soccer, outside, in recording high temperatures. He was a trooper.
We visited swig on a number of occasions.
We had to hit the trampoline park again with the other two and below is Triston showing how he makes friends wherever he goes!
I forced a walk to Bridal Veil Falls. Utah is in a drought so there was minimal water, but the boys climbed to the top for some great photos. They had fun while I watched from below!
We hit a fun water park in Utah County and the next day, the boys went to Cowabunga Bay for a few hours. They had fun together.
Reunited and having fun at Lagoon!
Triston in a Maclaren, a $400,000 car! It was nice.
While Kedzie and I went to get her knee MRI'd, the boys and grandma and Reggie headed for a drive to Snowbird and to see where the quarry is for the stone for the Salt Lake Temple.
We hit the aquarium in Draper and finally went to pick up Alex
Alex had a great time with all these boys.
For Reggie's birthday, we had pizza at the Brick Oven, and Connie Summers joined us so it was great to catch up with her.
Happy birthday to Reggie!
We finally headed home for more adventures and to see our puppies! We had a fantastic time with family and playing sports in Utah. Grateful for the adventure.
