Never, in three years at Rocky Top, has Kedzie received any sort of award or recognition for being amazing. She deserved a lot, I promise. This year, she was rewarded for her patience and her efforts. What an exciting moment when I got the following text and got to witness her receive some recognition for all her hard work this year. She and Melanie went to school together that day, dressed beautifully and ready to celebrate moving onto high school.
8th grade continuation
Wowza! What a year. She was in the top 25% of the class academically and improved 14 points in math maps testing. She is amazing and will do such great things in high school. We are excited for her and proud of all the effort and learning she's done over the last three years. It's not easy to be a middle schooler in this day and age. Bad things are everywhere, good friends are hard to find. She continues to endure the challenges with faith. So proud of Kedzie.
