Before Spain, a few nice things happened that I'd like to remember.
I "forced" the kids to go to the temple to pick weeds. It was very dramatic. Much weeping and wailing the night before, but we had fun. We took Camden with us and of course had lunch afterwards. I love finding unique service opportunities. My kids don't however!
Triston chose to participate in battle of the books this school year. Every week at 7am he'd go to school to discuss the books they were reading. He was chosen to be the team captain for the 4th grade battle. We are so proud of his committment and dedication to this activity. It was hard to read so many books and then to write questions about them, but he did it and was excited about it. Here he is with the 4th graders that participated and his buddy Shabir who was captain of the other team. Way to go Triston.
Ethan started his job at a referee and has now worked four games at $20 each. He's really good at it and blows that whistle with confidence. On the flip side, he now has a tendency to ref his own games that he's playing in. We are working on that, but so proud of his desire to work and earn money.
Alex and Travis made this house to scale for a math project. Alex had been working on a house building unit for over a month and this was the final project. It has five stories and an indoor soccer field of course. The black circle is a trampoline and it has a pool. Can't wait for him to build it for me!
Proud of my boys. My next post will be dedicated to my girl!
