May and the end of another school year and lots of soccer

May was so full of so much fun and so much school and even more soccer. But, it was worth it to watch our kids learn and grow and experience their lives. We are moving on up people to 8th, 6th and 4th grades. It's pretty exciting to see summer just around the corner.
We love Miss Tammy from the school office.  She's been supportive in and out of school.

Kedzie got to hang with this pretty, married bride during her reception here in Denver. It was Kedzie's dream come true. We love Lindsey and had such a great time celebrating her marriage to Miles.

I got to go back to the hospital with Tom when he had his exfixator removed. This was a much easier and calmer procedure. I almost missed the whole thing! What a relief. And it was so much fun to joke about the biohazard equipment he was carrying out of the hospital.  I love Tom and Rachel. We keep teasing Tom that I feel in love with him while he was sleeping! He has to catch up a bit!

Two of my favorite humans, Savannah and Katie, were co-valedictorians at Horizon's graduation this year and were able to give their graduation speech together. I love them and I'm so proud of them. They are starting at BYU in the fall.

Team North Star...the Food for Hope Thursday morning delivery crew! Jill, Marlena and myself. We love our Thursday mornings.

Field day at PHE is always fun for the kids. I'm so grateful for the good friends they make every year. Alex is sad because Jeremiah, his bestie this past year, has moved to Georgia. He will always remember Jeremiah and the fun they had together over the years.

Ethan's great friends Isaiah and Luke. Sadly, Luke has moved too. But, the boys all play for the same soccer club so they see each other on occasion.

Brennar and Matthew

Alex with his classmates. See ya later 3rd grade!

The boys were all involved in the Rock Cup in May.
Triston's team fought so hard and won 1st place!
Ethan and Alex's team's both took 2nd. So proud of their hard work and love of the game.

Coach John and Joni were amazing with Ethan's team.

Team Colombia! Tournament Champions! Man, it was a battle til the very end.  So much fun to watch them fight to the finish.

Triston with Coach Joe.

Alex and Wyatt

Grateful for Coach Nick and his willingness to coach these rascally boys!

Ethan was invited to a boy/girl party! Clearly, a great time was had by all.

And although he thinks he's learned everything there is to know and he wants to learn nothing more from his mom and dad, he is still our baby Ethan. We love and adore him in every way, except when he loses his temper!

And my cute 3rd grader A

Kedzie and I snuck away one day when the kids were in school for a movie date. We don't get to be alone much. It was a great date! Love her.

Mrs. Nunnally taught both boys for half day. She has now taught everyone but Ethan. So grateful for her patience and commitment during a challenging year.

Triston's classmates

The end of school, Ethan wanted to have a nerf war with his friends and permission was granted. The boys played one game and then we watched the most insane downpour of rain and hail for about 15 minutes and finally, they got to play again. Love their energy and drive for life. They are a crazy, rowdy, powerful, good group of boys.

Alex and Triston were four and in their first swimming lessons when this picture was taken and it continues to be used in the Thornton activity guide as well as on their website! They think they're famous!

I love my 5th grade graduate. The teachers had a great end of the year breakfast party. It was fun.

And, the 3rd grade gathered money for great end of the year gifts for Mr. Mitchell and Mrs. Nunnally. I love spoiling hard working, wonderful teachers. They totally deserve it.

These four spent the  day together at Elitch Gardens...having a great time.

Celebrating another soccer tournament win with ice cream. Go Team Germany

When Triston doesn't have a game, he's so supportive of Alex

And then, he reaps the reward of going to Rapids games with Alex's soccer friends!

So, as you can see, school and soccer...the entire month of May. Making the month fly by.
Farewell to PHE for Ethan and hello Rocky Top.
