My life at home continues to move on! I spent a full week with my friends in the hospital, but my kids continue to move on! The boys are busy enjoying cub scouts. Kedzie loves taking selfies when she has a free moment and the boys are back into their spring season of soccer! Good times for all.
Here are two examples of Kedzie's emotional state, while at school, in a 30 minute period. Oh the teenage years, don't miss them one bit.
This one and I have had some great learning experiences together this month. I love learning about how his brain works. He's creative and sensitive, loud and obnoxious. It's an adventure to figure him out. And, it's a bonus to figure him out because he's helping me figure out my other kids as well. Ethan keeps losing teeth and he is currently obsessed with Marvel. We are watching many of the marvel movies to prepare for Infinity Wars coming out in May. We have the movies written down in order and in phases and are watching them whenever we have some free time.
Kedzie was only able to participate in swimming once a week this winter, but she did compete in one swim meet and continues to love swim team!
Ethan has moved onto 11 yo scouts and is able to do some more outdoor activities and went on his first camp out in March. Travis was thrilled to go! lol
Say hello to another season of Colorado Rapids. We have one seat this season and as I bank tickets, I can take whomever I want. Travis was my first date to the first game.
And, farewell to our favorite Diet Coke flavor...so long Lime, it was a sad moment to drink the last one as DC has discontinued this deliciousness. Travis will miss it too.
My BFF is Erin and we are funny! She also doesn't love to hug, so when I do hug her, it has to be for a good reason. I'm so grateful to have her in my life. She is a constant. She loves me and I love her.
Ethan's got some great friends. This was at Baylor's party.
Spring Break wasn't too exciting this year, although I made sure we did some fun things. The boys always wanted to go to the skate park so we made sure we went early enough before the swearing teenagers show up. They had a great time. Kedzie is working on a flower garden, including fairies for her faith project for Young Women. Triston and Alex are getting older and think it's cool to have big headphones. They listen to music every free second they've got. It's pretty cute. I did take Triston and Alex swimming and Ethan went twice with friends. Kedzie hung out with Lucy and did some babysitting. It was a calm, quiet week. The boys even took two naps! what?! But, it was nice to have some time off from our normal routine.
Ethan likes a cute girl names Kaitlyn and Kaitlyn likes a cute boy named Ethan! Ethan and his friend Cooper were invited to two hours of her birthday party. Super fun for them all. The two text and chat a lot. It's fun and scary to watch him realize that girls are fun.
Alex went to a movie with his friend Sam for his birthday. I'm so glad Alex chose to go as he was the only classmate that could go due to spring break. Cute movie.
The second before Ethan scored for the only team point in his game on Saturday. He's becoming a striker and he's getting really good at it. So much fun to watch. He's the blue shirt in the middle of the group with one leg up!
I got to meet Andrea and Ben, Tom's sister and BIL this weekend and it was great. I love the Bjorkman siblings. I've met all but one now and they are fantastic individuals. Their parents are pretty impressive as well. But, Andrea and I talked quite a bit during the first week of Tom's hospital stay. It was a blessing to meet them. She's here for two weeks to help out while Tom transitions home. She brought me a chocolate bunny all the way from Switzerland! Yummy.
Date to Game 2. We froze our tushies off, but had the best time watching the rapids win a huge game 3-1. With Badji's hat trick. This kid and his man-bun. Love them both!
Now, may the weather turn to spring sunshine, flowers and green grass!
