The end of 2016. It was a good year I'd say. Filled with challenges, laughs and love as a family. I'm grateful for my sweet husband and cute kids for all the life they give to me on a daily basis. I'm grateful for the knowledge that my Savior, Jesus Christ lives and loves me. I'm grateful for my eternal Heavenly Father; that He knows me and watches out for me and through Him, my family is forever and we will see my mom again. What a life I have been blessed with; I'm truly grateful.
New Years Eve was filled with friends, Star Wars and food. We did it right! We saw Rogue One in the morning and loved it. We have a tradition now of seeing the movie with Matthew and Perry. We all have a great time. The evening was spent eating chinese food, talking and playing games with the Nunnally and Dorsett crews. Boy are they good friends. We rang in the new year at 10, sent everyone home around 11:30 and were in bed by 11:31pm. It was a great evening.
The day can't pass without a shout out to my mom.
I posted the following on Facebook and received so much love from friends and family in return.
Today marks the 5th year since my mom passed away. It still makes me cry. But, after I wipe away the tears and get some sense back in me I remember that I'm okay. It doesn't mean I have to like it, it just means that I'm living my life to the best of my ability. She'd want that. My job is to raise my kids in a loving home and teach them correct principles. She taught me how to be that kind of mom. She was there with a smile on her face until the very end. Her last words to us were "I love you!" And mom, we love you right back. Thanks for blessing our lives and being so involved as a mom and grandma. We love you and miss you and want you to know we are doing just fine.
