And they're off! Here are some pretty great and pretty crazy 2nd graders I know!

Alex is in 2nd grade in Mrs. Nienaber's class
Triston is in 2nd grade with Mrs. Mitchell and Matthew
I'm pretty stoked to see them on their way! They obviously weren't ready.
And this beauty is off to 6th grade at Rocky Top Middle School.
On to many new adventures and new friends. Can't wait to be a part of her journey.

Travis was able to give the kids priesthood blessings before school and I took some notes I'd like to share here.

Be wise. Strive to listen and be polite, follow rules and you'll receive blessings and you'll progress. Your parents and Heavenly Father love you. Be kind and caring. Be a good student and good example.
Ethan
Powerful influence in this home and among friends and teachers. You have ability to lead and guide others. Choose the right as you lead. Find ways to include, be kind and caring. Bless those around you. Being a leader is a blessing from Heavenly Father. It's a talent. You can be a leader in life. It'll bless you. Blessed to control emotions and see right from wrong. Be wise in studies and listen to teachers. Do the work and do it well to strive to be as perfect as you can. If you do this you'll grow and progress.
Kedzie
Delight to see you grow. As you go through this year continue to develop talents. You are kind and inclusive; a light and can lift others be helpful and talkative. These are gifts from Heavenly Father. Continue to find people to love and care for and be friends with many. Bless those around you. Blessed to be wise. You are bright and smart. Don't give up easily. Struggle to find answers. Seek to be able to solve problems before you. As you strive to understand you'll be guided and understand. You've been given a good mind. Heavenly Father loves you. Turn to him in prayer. Talk to him and develop a relationship with him so he can bless and guide you through your challenges. Invited to read the scriptures each day. See Heavenly Fathers voice in your life.

You're a choice young man. Heavenly Father knows you. He sees your abilities and talents. You were sent at this time and into this family because he knows your talents and abilities. He knows the people you need to bless in this life. You have many talents. Please be humble as you recognize those talents. Heavenly Father has hope and trust in you as you choose the right. As you grow, do your best. Give 100% strive to do more and be better and you'll see yourself grow and progress. Heavenly Father truly loves you. He is real. Prayer is the way we talk to Him and he talks back and knows us and loves us like your parents. Pray always that Heavenly Father is listening and wants to hear. You'll continue to grow and be a light and joy to those around you.
