Ft. Collins LDS Temple 2011-1016

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints announced a Temple in Ft. Collins, Colorado in 2011.  We are half way between the Denver and Ft. Collins Temples.  But, we've been assigned to the new Temple and are so excited to be apart of the new Temple experience.

In August 2011, my mom took our picture of the land that had been secured for the building of the Temple.  The spirit of my mom was felt as I volunteered in the Temple during the Open House.  I'm so grateful to have that connection with her and look forward to serving in this Temple.

We visited the site quite a bit during construction. Friends had given me the idea to have pictures taken of the Temple before, during and after construction. So grateful for the advice.  I even took the Young Women up to the site prior to the ground breaking.

Whenever we passed Ft. Collins, generally on our way back from Utah, we'd stop to check on the progress.

I took Betsy and Jill with me one day to the Open House.  They thought it was beautiful and we had a great morning together sharing with them what a Temple is all about.

I was out of town when my family went to the open house, but they went with Travis, Grandma and Reggie and thought it was beautiful.  Kedzie is excited to be married there and to be in the Brides room! It's gorgeous.

I'm so grateful that my family will be together forever.  Look at those sweet, crazy faces!

Travis, Kedzie, Ethan and Alex attended the Cultural Celebration prior to the Dedication and had a great time.  They loved seeing President Uchdorf in the audience and all their teenaged friends participating in the program.

Travis, Kedzie, Ethan and I went to the Temple Dedication and felt a great spirit there.  We are excited to serve in the House of the Lord and we are grateful to have a new temple in our midst.
