Ethan, Triston and Alex had another amazing soccer season. I love soccer for so many reasons. Friends, coaches, fitness: both physical and mental. It's been a great experience for our family.
Ethan has been with the same coach, Brian Simms since he first started soccer at age 4! Four of the teammates are from the very beginning. This was the last season with this coach and team because sadly, at age eight, they start to work gathering the best players to eventually form their competitive teams. Sadly, Ethan isn't one of the best for the club, but he's the best to me! He has come so far. He thinks and processes where the ball should go. He is brave because he likes playing goalie. He is teachable and kind to his teammates. It's been a great team for him.
So, we say goodbye to Shawn, Bergen, Chase and Coach Brian; but stay with Garrett and Tanner and some other great boys and hopefully get a fabulous coach who will continue where Brian left off. It's been a difficult, growing experience for both Ethan and I. He's very competitive and sensitive. Touch match! Especially when you aren't the best, but leave it all on the field. We are proud of your work and effort Ethan.
Triston and Alex are pretty great soccer players as well. They had another great season with their friends and coaches. Next season they will start practicing two days a week and move to bigger fields on game day. It's exciting to watch them grow in the sport. They're awesome.
Kedzie's hamster Ice Cream was in her first ever hamster race the same day as the boys last soccer game. I thought it appropriate to post here! She went with the Nunnally's. She and Jackson walked away with the red and white ribbons. They had a great time racing their cute hamsters.
So grateful for healthy, energetic, intelligent, imperfect, social children. I'm truly blessed.
