Florida 2015

When the kids don't have school for a week, we obviously need to go on a vacation right?! And, what better way to celebrate Triston's adoption and Ethan and Kedzie's birthdays than at Disney World and Universal Studios where we conquered Harry Potter's world.

We had a fabulous week away and walked over 35 miles...averaged 7 miles per day.  Not one kid complained about the walking.  There may have been other complaints, but I won't mention those.  No need to remember them! We rode all the rides, except broken splash mountain. Tortured at least two kids by riding Tower of Terror and saw many wonderful characters.  We now own four magical wands, two pirate swords, a purse and fan from "China" and a Quidditch t-shirt.  Plus, we increased the love in our family and became stronger and more connected.  All in all, it was a great trip.

I took a lot of pictures, but consolidated my favorites in daily collages, so I'll post those here. Day 1 was Ethan's birthday, see his bday post!

Day 2: Typhoon Lagoon...75 degrees
Day 3: Epcot Center...cold and rainy, but fun
Day 3: Magic Kingdom, Kedzie's bday
Day 4: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure
Day 5: Disney Studios
Day 6: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure part II

Andres, Xavier, Emily & Silvia Espinoza from Quito, Ecuador

In September of 2000, I had the opportunity to live with this wonderful family in Ecuador for five weeks.  Silvia and I are soul sisters...this family is so close to my heart.  Their son Esteban is currently serving a mission in Sandy, Utah.  Anyway, we discovered that we would both be in Florida at the same time and we actually got together for an hour or two at the local chic-fil-a.  What a wonderful feeling to hug them once again; after fourteen years and to introduce them to my family.  I love them so much...they are an amazing family.  I'm so grateful Heavenly Father brought us together.
