Kedzie is back into full swing of things. Her back bugs her minimally and she's free of headaches. She's back to dance and she's had two birthday parties to attend this month. She's been very busy socializing! She also had a field trip to the State Capital Building that I was able to go on with her. We met the Lt. Governor. We had fun.
Ethan, Alex and Triston completed four weeks of scooters at Copper Mountain. Ethan is now a pretty good snowboarder and can ride both edges, if he chooses too. Alex and Triston are now better on their back edge and occasionally try the front. They all had fun and Travis and I had two great ski days together and we are grateful that our kids love the mountains and snowboarding. Tiffany and I drove up one weekend together and another, I took Ruby for her. It was great.
Ethan had a field trip to the stock show and loved it. He was a "bandit" the entire time. What a goof. He got to hang with his besties and had a great day.
The boys have also started basketball this past week through the Y. They love it. I realize that I don't really have to worry about them getting their exercise in each day. They are so crazy and running around all the time, they take care of it themselves! They are a wild bunch. I love them tho.
The biggest news is that we are adopting Triston in seven days! February 3rd at 8:30am we have our court date to make him ours forever! We have a countdown going and he is super excited about the event. Four days later, Ethan's 8th birthday, we leave for a week in Orlando. The primary purpose is to have adventures in Harry Potter Land. We are all excited for a fun vacation and we have so many things to celebrate. Kedzie's birthday will be while we are gone as well. She's a little disappointed to miss her valentines day party at school, but poor girl will be at the Magic Kingdom that day. So sad...NOT!
Some more exciting news is that Ethan will be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on March 3rd and then Triston will be sealed to us in the Denver Temple on March 6th in the evening. It's going to be a very spiritual and tender week for us. Can't wait. We will be surrounded by many wonderful friends and family and can't be more grateful for their involvement throughout this experience. It's takes a village for sure.
I was called to be the Wolves Den Leader and have six little wolves to work with in scouts and Travis is still busy taking care of our family in every way. From fixing the toilet, to fixing delicious meals, working every day and tolerating all of our whininess. He does have a lot of fun with us too.
I'm so grateful for our family and the fact that we will be complete in a week and for eternity in a month. We are truly blessed. Life is hard, but really life is good. Happy 2015.
