FYI...things are going pretty well with our little foster dude. He's awesome. If only he and Alex would learn to share and to like each other. My fear is of ruining Alex with this situation, but it hasn't come to that yet. We will watch and learn and experience and grow from it all.
Things are coming together. He doesn't like to have his hair washed however and he hates water in his eyes. So, that'll be interesting when we go swimming. That is something our family does pretty regularly. We will all learn, won't we?
It's hard, but it's good. I'd like to thank Ethan for five years of training. Because of him, I'm able to manage this experience. What a blessing. I just realized this yesterday.
So, we plug on and things really are going well, if only we could learn to share and be nice...all three of the boys in this house. But, that will hopefully come in the near future.
We head to the mountains to a friends home tomorrow afternoon. It should be lovely. I'm ready for a quick break. Kedzie and I are going skiing together and I have no idea what the boys will really be doing. Travis will manage them well I'm sure. Some sledding and playing in the snow mixed with some shopping and playing with friends. It'll be great. Can't wait. Well, actually I can. My house still looks lived in and we aren't packed, but after the gym in the morning, that is what I'm planning to do. As long as the boys will allow!!!
Love to all! And, carry on!
