I'm 27, I mean...I'm 37

Wow!  How time flies.  Wasn't I just graduating from Utah State and moving to Denver?  Well, I've been here now for fourteen years!  Fourteen years!  I've almost lived here longer than I've lived in Utah.  I guess I should just call this home from here on out!

Anyway, I woke up at age 37 to pop overs, a smoothie, three cute kids and an adorable husband!  All four purchased the best gifts of shoes, a hat, a bracelet and earrings.  Plus, I got some good money from the mom and in laws.  Guess we are going shopping tonight!

I made it to my favorite yoga class this morning and then had about 100 birthday wishes on facebook.  To top it all off, the bestie Erin organized my closest girl friends to lunch with me at Chick-fil-a, a kid friendly place.  It was perfect.  Got some nice gifts, but most importantly just go to sit and chit chat with some amazing women.  Thanks Erin, Amy B, Amy C, Shawnee, Lisa K and Chelsie.  You are wonderful women who have attributes that I aspire to implement in my life.  I'm grateful to have such amazing people in my life.

Thirty-seven is a little closer to forty and that is hard to believe.  I swear I have a two year old! Oh yeah, I do! At this point in life, I'm again grateful that I was older when I got married, because now I get to hang out with a younger crowd!  One of my new friends is 10 years younger than me!  Anyway, I'm glad I'm a busy mom with young kids and don't have to get the cane out yet!

Life is good.  I'm truly blessed in so many ways.  Our family is doing "gratitude-ings" each night in November, and it is so fun to see what my kids write.  We are all blessed with amazing friends and family.  A beautiful, warm home, good food to eat, toilet paper and many costumes and two cats!  Could life get better?  Other than my mom's cancer being cured, I can happily say, NO!  Life is great.

Here's to another year!  Love, EM
