Bahama Babes!

Well, we made it to the Bahamas and back without incident!  It was a fantastic trip.  It was the first cruise I've been on without being pregnant or nursing.  Wow!  Vacations can be a lot of fun!  I had forgotten!
Our trip included two days in Florida and four days on the Norwegian Sky.  We stopped at Freeport, Bahamas, Nassau, Bahamas and Stirrup Cay, Norwegian's private island.

Four beach/water days in a row!  We are darker now than we've been in years!  One day I forgot to sunscreen Ethan until after lunch, so he is doing a lot of peeling on his cute little face these days.  Ooops.  But, that was really our only issue!

Each day we were in water.  Each night, we sent the kids to Kids Krew where they didn't want to come back to the room!  Then, the adults would head to a lovely three course meal and then wander the ship until bed time.  It was relaxing and fun.

Here are some photographic highlights!

Alex was perfection on the flights.  He watched movies and took naps.  Couldn't have gone better.

Our first day of beach fun was in Key Largo, Florida.  We went to a state park where Ethan and Kedzie got the hang of snorkeling.  And Alex figured out how to play in the ocean.  It was awesome.

We also got the chance to kayak.  It was my first time.  I went with Alex, Karen went with Ethan and Travis went with Kedzie.  My mom sat in the shade and watched all the action.

Because we didn't have enough water that first day, we had to swim in the hotel pool that night right?!  Right!  Good thing Karen had her underwater camera!

Good Bye Miami!

 Hello ocean!

Travis found a delicious Bahama beverage.  Kedzie got her hair braided and my mom soaked in the fun under an umbrella while we played in Freeport on the beach.  It was great.  Kedzie, Ethan, Travis and Karen went on a boat ride to see dolphins and the Ghost Ship from Pirates of the Carribbean and had a lot of fun.
While Alex and I played in the sand and surf.

Our next stop was Nassau and we went straight to the Atlantis Resort.  It was amazing.  Slides and pools everywhere.  Beautiful animals and adventures at every turn.

My kids were fish that day!  They were in heaven.

The resort was beautiful.  I think we could go back there someday.

Such fun and beauty!

Our last day was at Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian's private island.  Travis and Karen went parasailing and had to make an emergency landing into the ocean due to equipment failure!  Here they are flying and being rescued!  It wasn't scary, just exciting.  They carefully placed them into the ocean and then they just swam to the rescue boat.  In turn, they got an additional ride!  They had a fabulous time.

Ethan loved finding things in the tide pool.

Of course, Kedzie found a best friend, Katie, while on the trip and taught her how to snorkel!  Alex was my side kick throughout the trip and we just simply had a fabulous time.  Thanks mom for the sponsorship!  Thanks Karen for helping out with the kids and my mom. Thanks Travis for being patient and planning it all.  Thanks kids for being such great travelers.  Thanks for the wonderful memories with wonderful people in a beautiful place.  And, if I could just have one wish...please tan, don't go away!

Such fun pics! I'm serious, the next time you plan a trip to Atlantis, tell us about it and maybe we'll invite ourselves along. We're bold (and rude) like that ;). Glad you had so much fun!
