Happy 2nd birthday Alex!

Our sweet, little Alex turned two on the 8th of May!
Boy what a difference two years makes!

Alex is still our happy, go lucky guy.  He makes us laugh every day.  He is a tease and will take something away from his brother or sister just so they will chase after him!  He's laughing all the way! He is sleeping in a big boy bed and has no interest in being potty trained.  He loves to eat cereal at any time of the day.  He is tender with the cats and makes sure they are where they are supposed to be.  He loves music and tries to sing songs.  He loves taking bathes and loves to snuggle with his mom.  His all time favorite thing: his mom's hair in his hand!

He is totally into trains and has recently discovered Thomas the train much to my chagrin.  His best friend is Matthew Holland and he wants to go to Matthew's or play with Matthew whenever possible.  He's still taking a nap every day and he hasn't quite got all of his teeth yet.  He loves reading books and playing basketball whenever possible.  He's got a pretty good dribble and shot already. What will his future hold in basketball?  We shall see.  He's slow on the talking, but he is talking, so we are happy with whatever he gives us.  He enjoys talking on the phone and playing hide and seek with his face hiding in a pillow...as if we won't see him at all!

Alex loves his brother and sister and gets so excited when he hears the garage door each afternoon and runs to give his dad a hug hello.  Alex is such a happy kid and he makes us happy.  We are so grateful to have him in our family!  We love you Alex Tyler!  Happy 2nd birthday buddy.
We had a five day birthday celebration.  One of his celebrations was at Chuck E Cheese's with Kedzie, Ethan, Matthew, G&G Ravsten, Reggie and Grandma Mary.  The two boys played basketball over and over and over again.  If it wasn't basketball, they were riding the yellow bus and kept taking turns dropping each other off at various locations!  They are the best of buddies.  So cute.

At CEC's, Alex just got cookies rather than a cake, but Travis made a train cake for his actual birthday, that wasn't worth a photograph, although it was tasty!  He was so cute to watch as he learned when and how to blow out his candles.  He was perfect on his actual birthday!
Kedzie and Ethan planned a tea party for Alex as well.  Fun had by all.
You give the kid a train and he'll be happy for hours.  Oh and notice the bag of cereal in the photo as well?!  He was in the process of asking for a bowl, when he was distracted by the train!

Oh so fun! I sometimes forget that two of our kids were born almost the exact same time! Kapri's b-day is this weekend and I still don't have anything planned! Your post has motivated me to get on it! :) Cute pics. There's always a party when Emily is around!
