Where did April go?

I don't have anything exciting to report, so I thought I'd add some pictures of some random things we've done this month.  And mention that it's hard to believe that the month is almost over.
I just thought this picture was cute!  That's all.
Kedzie has had an eventful week.  She had a friend in her class pass away after a long term illness and chicks were born in her classroom.  They named the first chick after their friend Angel.  She and her classmates and school have handled the situation beautifully. Honestly, I'm grateful for all the fish that have died in our house, because it has helped my children understand the concept of death.  Silly, I know.
The kids, especially Alex were REALLY into coloring their eggs this year.  By the time we were done, Alex's hand were a dingy green from dipping them in all the cups!  What fun he had.

Kedzie was pretty meticulous in her egg coloring.
The kids were up at 5:15am on Sunday morning to see what the Easter Bunny brought them!  It made for a long, long, long Sunday.  But, we survived.
This is Ethan's buddy Jamison.  Just as they are at the age to become good buddies, Jamison's family is moving the end of the summer.  We've got to get in plenty of play time between now and then.  They have a great time together.  We love Jamison and his family!
Alex wants to play "choo-choo" on a daily or rather hourly basis!  He loves having ME set up the track and he loves making the train sounds.  It doesn't even matter what the track looks like!
This is my Easter Sunday picture.  Do you like it?!  Ethan doesn't want to get in church clothes until the last possible moment.  He also won't wear any pants or shirts with buttons! Interesting child. Also, my kids are totally into playing games on the ipad.  It's insane.
Alex is now in a big boy bed, the crib is down for the first time in six years, and the boys have a bunk bed!  Ethan stores all his stuffed animals on his bed and sleeps with them in a cozy manner each and every night.  As a side story, my favorite word of Ethan's these days: "pisateered."  Can you guess that he means to say: "disappeared"?!  It makes me laugh every time he says it!
Alex is truly the ipad nerd.  He wants to "pay" all day, every day!  He's also fitting into Ethan's old clothes and it's fun to recollect Ethan being that small.
On a daily basis, Ethan asks if we can go to Target and buy star wars/clone wars guys.  I pretty much tell him no on a daily basis!  I'd hate to count up how many guys we have and times them by $7 per guy.  So, I don't!  He's now got some money saved to go buy himself another one.  That's how we have to work it!  Anyway, he and Kedzie can play for a couple of hours with these guys.  It's quite amazing.  Kedzie of course is one of the girl characters, but they have amazing imaginations and enjoy playing together.  I'm so grateful.

Things are going well.  My mom is doing well.  Alex turns two next week, so all the family is coming into town.  I'm busy scheduling our activities for the summer and we are watching our plants and trees grow.  Spring is a most wonderful time of year.  We are enjoying it and we're excited for what's to come.  That's my update for now!
