"Stuff"

I love being busy, outside of my house! Well, I guess I should say that I'm not happy if I'm not busy, outside of my house. That means that my house isn't my top priority. I'm okay with that, sometimes! Anyway, each and every day we have to do 'something.' That might include Target or the grocery store (not fun). But, it generally includes play dates, the mall, the zoo, the museum, dad's work, swimming, parks, horses, library, eating out, classes, etc. I like to be active, so my kids automatically get thrown into the busy life. I hope it works for them. It seems to be. They seem to be happy, and well adjusted. I guess time will tell.

I'm grateful for my life and for the chance that I have to stay home and be "active" with my kids. To teach them and give them opportunities. I'm grateful for Travis's job, his boss and Travis's work ethic. Because of that, I get to stay home and do "stuff." It's great.

Here are some recent moments of fun activities we've been involved in.

Kedzie got her ears pierced last week. She's so proud of them. This is her "after-shot." A little dismayed. I warned her that it would hurt, but she didn't shed a single tear. She asked for them to be pierced and wanted them pierced with some beautiful, dangly monkey earrings. She had to go with the sparkly, pink flowers instead.

We went to the dentist this week and while parking, she said to me; "My cousin's name is Dentist and he takes barnacles off of horses teeth." Kedzie and her amazing imagination. I'm also surprised you didn't know that she has a cousin named Diego who is coming to visit from Africa. We're having a sleep over with both boys and girls. Should be a great time. She's inviting everyone, so consider this your invitation!
The good 'ol Adams County Fair was last weekend. We had free tickets to the Rodeo and much to Travis's chagrin, we all went! Well, we partook of the rodeo in addition to the wonderful festivities. Ethan's favorite was the fire truck. Of course he had to climb right up into the drivers seat. He attempted to wear one of their hats, but didn't like that it was so heavy. We only got him to leave the truck behind by getting him to ride the roller coaster. What a character. Anything good or bad is absolutely hysterical to him. He makes us laugh and cry on occasion! Mostly laugh.
And really, I just had to post this picture of Alex because it is the cutest, silliest picture of him! He's growing up and it's rather remarkable. Three months has flown by. He is beginning to learn to play with toys, he can put his little self to sleep without me helping him, he rarely cries unless dropped on the floor by his sister or run over by his brothers dump truck. I don't blame the kid! He is the best baby we've had. We are so grateful for his presence in our lives. What a kid. It's going to be fun to watch him continue to grow. This picture shows how much fun he had at Elitches a few weeks ago! He slept through all the rides. We had to have some proof that he was there.

Anyway, there were three snap shots of my fun children and some of our recent activities. Life is good.

You ARE lucky! Your kids are adorable AND you get to spend lots of time with them! Maybe Kedzie could send Deigo our way as we are having "tiger" problems. We're hoping the tiger won't show up at Kindergarten tomorrow! :)
