January 2026

You know when January comes and acts like it about six months long?! I feel like that right now. Although, the days are getting longer, which is a bonus, it's cold and there's not a whole lot going on. I shouldn't whine tho, right?! We are totally blessed and good things are happening.

Alex and Ethan worked over break at Home Depot and Ethan headed back to USU where he is so happy with his friends and his life, everything but engineering, which is a challenge. Kedzie has been busy working at CFL and back into school. It's hard to believe she only has 1.5 years left until she can teach. Triston and Alex are in second semester of Junior year. Both playing club soccer and doing great in school. Alex was so excited to head back to school. He had a super long winter break. Travis and I are busy working and then we come home and we aren't sure what to do with ourselves. We are kinda stuck right now, but we aren't giving up. We will figure it out. It's that time between having kids at home and being empty nesters. They need us around but don't really need us! We feel old and boring. But, that's part of January. Can't wait for more sunshine and outdoors.

Alex was called at the first assistant for the Priest's Quorum which is pretty cool for him. He gets to work with Bishop Drey and his son and another Priest. He's excited about it and has mentioned that he will likely serve a mission next year after he graduates from high school. He is going on an HXP trip this summer to Argentina as well. I'm excited for his new adventures.

Club has sorta started.

We have not had enough snow this winter. It's been dry and dryer!
