Travis and I were called as a Ma and Pa for trek this year. The last time our stake went, we were parents as well. We reluctantly said yes, and I'm glad we did. We loved and hated it and enjoyed and despised and laughed and cried. It was a lot! The boys went with us as well, they appeared to be happy and have fun most of the time as well. It was truly an adventure.

Reynold's Family for Triston
Rothey family for Alex
As for families; I truly believe that my kids were placed in these families for various reasons. It was an answer to prayers as we needed them to have fun and not regret going. The boys truly enjoyed their families and I know the parents loved having them in their groups. It was a blessing. We loved our group as well. Just great kids on a grand adventure.
Four people reluctant to head to the plains of Wyoming.
But, it was a fun bus ride filled with cheesy songs and getting to know you games.

Hiking in the sunshine...
We see the weather and lightening coming in
Women's pull
The rain and wind came
And we pulled and cried and pulled and did it
Then we walked in the mud downhill
Where we found sunshine again and dried out and enjoyed a delicious lunch.

How Travis felt on his way home!
Many tender mercies were had on this trip. From the families my boys were with to the strength of the young women to pull during a major storm. No one was injured. People were kind. We were fed well and learned a lot. It was a great experience. But, for the record, Travis and I retired! lol
