Happy Birthday dear Alex, Happy Birthday to you!
I love all the time we get to spend driving to and from practice and games together. It's priceless time of talking, or not, and contemplating your life. Thanks for sharing your life with me.
We went to Benihana's for dinner and everyone had a delicious meal and we had lots of laughs.
Alex got his permit bright and early on his birthday!
Alex is a strong, intelligent, funny, silly, handsome son, friend, brother and teammate. He generally makes everyone happy when you're around him. He loves soccer and video games, Legos (he got a huge one as his gift) and he loves his dogs and family. Alex is the perfect caboose. I know I've said that before. Alex is our last child to experience some severe mental health issues. We are working with a psychiatrist now to get on the right meds to address his anxiety and adhd. He got all A's but one his first semester of high school with this semester being a different story. He hasn't been to school for a few weeks. Alex will be starting online school through Astravo this summer. School isn't his happy place. We are working together to help him over come his challenges. It is really hard, but we love him so much, it's really, really worth it. He said to me the other day, in reference to his soccer experience over the last year that "it's all part of the Lord's plan," and my heart melted. He's going to be okay. We just have to get him to graduate high school! He received his patriarchal blessing a few months ago, and will hopefully rely on that for some guidance and rely on the Lord and his family during the good and the bad. Alex is always an adventure and I'm grateful to be one of his adventure buddies! Welcome to fifteen!
