Fall Break on The Big Island

This the first year since my kids started school that our district had a fall break for more than one day! Our intention was to take Kedzie on her senior trip and then the boys on fall break. Kedzie had only one day off. Unfortunately Kedzie's trip didn't happen, but fall break did happen. Broken leg and all!

We found amazing tickets to the Big Island and stayed south of Kona. We stalked our kitchen full of food for breakfast and dinner and enjoyed lunches out. The boys were fun to be around. Triston was a trooper with his broken leg and became friends with all the chickens and ducks. Alex and Ethan had the best time swimming, surfing and being silly in the water. I loved the sun and being with my boys. Enjoy the photos.

These happy faces!

Ethan took Travis golfing up in the mountains. He was in heaven. Literally.

Triston and the sunset

They actually swam with manta rays!

The surfing was the highlight

lol

Crazy enough, I ran into my friend Jeff from High School deep in the Hawaiian jungle! He offered to take our family photo. What are the odds?

View of the macadamia farm trees and road.

This trip was practically perfect in every way. I'm so grateful we could go and make memories together.
