Disney World...Happy 50th to Jill and the Magic Kingdom

Jill turns 50 this year and so does that Magic Kingdom, so for a few years, we've been planning a trip to Florida together. It finally happened! We snatched the kids out of school (in hind site, not a good idea, stupid grades) and flew to Orlando. Dorsett's left on Saturday, 4/6 of the Ravsten's left Sunday morning, Alex played in State Cup and then he and I took the red eye Monday at 12:05am. We spent the week at the four Disney Parks and one day at Universal's Volcano Bay and then Alex and I headed home early Saturday for his soccer game and the others came back Saturday night. It was a special and memorable trip. Grateful to have Disney open. Grateful for their precautions with the pandemic. Grateful to make memories with my family and especially grateful to be with Jill and her girls and solidify that relationship even more. Here is a brief highlight of our adventure!

The family made it safe and sound while Alex played soccer and then spoke in church! I got to be a Thornton for the hour! We weren't very reverent! This was Alex's first talk in sacrament meeting and he was awesome. Everyone got to watch online so that's a bonus. He did a fabulous job. So proud of all my kids and their ability to public speak.

We were done adulting and headed to Disney!

They barely fit this time. Traditonal picture

We ate something in almost every country in Epcot. We were stuffed and missed the last 3-4. It was a fun adventure.

Party of 11!

The one picture I got with just me and the kids! I'm not looking. We had a great day at Magic Kingdom.

He rode this ride over and over and over again. It was a new adventure for he and Triston. They're now old enough to love it and to remember the adventure.

We wore out for sure, but it didn't stop us

Churros every day, every day, every day

The Odell's took care of Phoebe. She and Kylie love each other while Laurie and Davis watched over Wiley at home. it was the perfect situation.

Hollywood Studios!

Best. Ride. Ever! We were entranced in star wars land. It was incredible.

Her shirt say "I'm surrounded by idiots!" lol

Some lines got a little long, but we spent most time waiting outside

My nails and Kedzie's nails special for our trip

Jill "I wasn't looking" Travis "You looked fine"
end result...Travis...duh!

The day we weren't allowed to wear masks was the day we felt the most normal in well over a year. We had a great time in the sun and water. And ironically, I ran into my HS friend Jeff Ross on the first ride of the day. Haven't seen him since I moved to Denver or before. We had a great day. Everyone was happy on our last day of Florida sunshine.

Our traditional foot photo!
