Schools out and summer begins!

School was out the end of May. Alex and his friends Matthew and Caden were May's Lark Students of the Month. Alex was hoping he would receive the award and he did. Erin was there to photograph it as our school doesn't allow parents to attend...lame...anyway, we are done with 4th grade at PHE and have only one year left and bonus...new principal!

I love my calling in Young Women because I have grown to love these young ladies. We had a great evening playing laser tag. They just laugh and grow and make jokes and cry and learn. It's wonderful to witness the entire thing.

Kedzie was in her final dance recital in June. She has decided to retire. She wants to focus more on school and swimming. But, doesn't she look beautiful all ready for her contemporary dance number? She had another great year and loved dance. It's the end of an era for us. My sweet baby girl. Love her so much.

Ethan's summer passion project is fishing! He and his neighborhood friends are either fishing for crawdads, which he now has a pet in his room, or fishing at local small lakes. He's caught and released a few. His grown up plan this week is to be a commercial fisherman.  eek.

Rapids game with friends. Ethan is friends with many of the boys on the top team, although he doesn't play with them. I'm grateful as the mom, that they are so kind and welcoming to him in their group. Alex's team gathered for a rapids game and so did Ethan's age top team so we all hung out together. It was a great game and fun night.

Sunday naps while watching shows and lots of laundry.

She's 14, and still has an imagination that is priceless.  I love walking outside to see her off in another world. It's a blessing.

the boys with T&B at Water World.
Theyr'e lucky to have such great friends.

More 3v3 fun! This was a great day for the boys. It was a pretty effortless win. They love playing soccer and they love each other.

While I watch Alex play soccer, Travis took the others to lunch and did various activities around the house like mowing the lawn and cleaning rooms.  super fun!

We have the cutest, nicest, greatest missionaries in our ward right now and all the Laurels are infatuated! When they can in to help teach our class, I snagged this picture so I could send it to the girls that weren't there! We love Elder's Seibold, Fransen and Keele. They are all super tall and have it all together as far as missionary work goes.

My view as I watch the boys hit buckets of balls at the golf course.

Until this happens! Then we have blood dripping everywhere and we are running into the club house for something to stop the bleeding! Ethan swung the putter over his shoulder (dumb) and Alex was standing too close to him (dumb) Nothing Heidi and some glue couldn't fix. He'll have a great story.

Girls Camp 2019
I drove some girls up and then came home and went up again on Thursday. Everyone reported lots of fun and many adventures. Kedzie had the best time. She and her Mia Maid crew. Love them.

Ethan at Reed's birthday party riding a mechanical bull! Awesome.

Pictures snap a moment. I want whoever's reading this to realize that our life is 25% picture worthy. The rest is managing kids, driving kids, supervising kids, picking up after kids, negotiating with kids, worrying, praying, crying, wishing, thinking, dealing with and much more. Our life is great but it is hard. Being a parent is the hardest growing experince I can remember. Being without my mom is particularly hard right now. But, we try everyday. We try to learn and grow and do our best. It's hard, but I wouldn't trade my life for anything else.
