These two Krazee's!

Kedzie and Ethan...two peas in a pod...just under two years apart...they bring joy to me at some point every single day.  They've loved each other since Ethan's birth.  They fight like crazy.  They tease each other mercilessly. Kedzie tries to teach everything she knows to Ethan and Ethan thinks he already knows everything.  They are hard workers, make excellent friends to others, they help around the house, they have great imaginations. And they've had an amazing month.

Fifth grade is Kedzie's last year in Elementary school and I have a hard time believing my 6.6lb first born child is growing up to be so beautiful, kind and loving.  Third grade is where Ethan is thriving and learning and growing and making his mark.

Kedzie and Ethan both ran for student leadership positions this past week.  They both eagerly got the paperwork, sat down and filled it out, asked for help when needed and did all they needed to accomplish their tasks.  They did need some help with their speech's, which I gladly provided.  Each class selects two representatives.  My kids were chosen.  Kedzie didn't win last year, so we prepared ourselves to win or lose...knowing that we could handle whatever happened.  Donuts make everything better!

I ran into Kedzie before school got out yesterday and she joyfully proclaimed that she was in! There was a four way tie, and she is in Student Leadership! Then, I saw Ethan in his classroom and he ran to me saying that he made, along with his buddy Jackson, for their class.

I'm so proud of my kids for having the desire to lead others.  I hope and expect that they will learn a great deal of leadership skills this year as they follow through with assignments, service and activities they are given as members of this team.  I'm a little giddy because they are following in my shoes with leadership.  However, I lost every election until the 10th grade, so they are already beyond me.

Go get 'em my Krazee's.  I love you so much.  I'm proud of you and your persistence.  I'm proud of your abilities to make people laugh and make people feel loved. You are the best.  (I know that Grandma Mary is giving a big "WAHOO" for you in Heaven as well!)
