Alex age 4

My buddy Alex turned four on May 8th.  Turning four was huge for Alex because all of his friends are older than him!  He is finally four just like everyone else and he's so happy about it.  What a blessing Alex has been in my life.  He is so tender and loving to me.  I'm by far his favorite person with a close tie for 2nd, Matthew and Colten or maybe his siblings.  It's a toss up!

He is still such a snuggler and will grab my hair any time he is around me. It provides both of us a little bit of comfort.  It reminds me that I still have my baby around!

Alex learned to ride a bike this spring without training wheels, age three people!  This kids got skills!  Travis and I really aren't sure where his athleticism came from.  He is awesome on the soccer field.  He runs with great speed and he can hit a baseball as well as shoot some hoops.  We're proud of his abilities and hope that he will be patient with our inabilities as he grows.

Alex learned to ski this winter as well.  His teacher said that he was the quickest three year old learner that he's ever taught.  Proud mommy moment! Oh and I can't forget that he also went to primary this year and is such a happy "sunbeam." He loves going to his class and being with the big kids in primary.

Alex loves to eat.  He really eats hourly! His favorites: cheese sticks, mandarin oranges, apples, apple sauce, toast with sugar, cereal, crackers, you name it and the kid will eat it!  He's an eating machine.

Alex loves to play Mario with friends and family.  He's often found in the back yard running around and he's always trying to find his cat Burt to get a little snuggle.  Nightly, he has to have his dog, cat and croc with his blanket and pillow in order to go to sleep.  He's kind of a routine kid and we have to kiss and give each other zerberts after we read a few books before he'll even think about closing his eyes.

Athough Alex has experienced Disney and Christmas in his life, this past year seemed to be a first for both.  I can't imagine anyone being more excited than he was as we went to Disneyland in the fall.  He was able to ride all the rides and had a blast.  Everything was so new and wonderful to him.  The same with Christmas.  He just couldn't wait for Santa!  It made both experiences much more magical this past year for me.  Seeing it through the excitement of Alex's eyes!  Awesome!

I always tell Alex he's my baby and he tells me that he's not!  I can't convince him otherwise!  But, my baby he will be forever. And I'm so grateful for him.  It just wouldn't be the same without Mr. Alex in our lives.
