"just keep swimming..."

Well, sadly, the cancer is back.  I've waited three weeks to do this post, because we needed more information.  And, we have it.  The cancer is back, but we aren't planning a June funeral as my mom and I both determined would happen!  We are sooo optimistic, aren't we?!  Rather than a funeral, she gets to come out next week and celebrate Kedzie and Ethan's birthday's and start chemo, rather than radiation, on the 15th.  It's all a huge blessing.  Although, we'd all hoped for a longer period of remission, we are grateful for the fact that cancer hasn't riddled her body in the last four months.  We are eager to plan another family vacation with her and to enjoy what time we do have left.

We love Grandma Mary!  We are grateful for her testimony of faith, her great spirit, her playful personality, her laugh and smile.  She's a wonderful grandma and we are glad to have her around for a little while longer!

Emily,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom's health. How come the great moms of the world struggle so much??? It doesn't seem fair. You and I are both blessed with wonderful mothers...I miss mine everyday. My prayers are with you and your dear, sweet mom.
