So, yesterday was a great day for me. I don't really know why other than we were busy and together as a family and everyone was happy. We got up and went to the Denver Nature and Science Museum and played for a few hours there. It's amazing to me that my little children can love a museum already! We saw the dinosaur bones, played in the health section, and played astronaut!

Here's my astronaut Ethan.
Here's my "moon rock collector" Alex.
And my "shuttle commander" Kedzie.
After the Museum, we headed to Cafe Rio for some yummy sweet pork burritos and to the ever fancy Cherry Creek Mall where we bought nothing! It was a great way to spend the day. Everyone of us enjoyed the adventure!
Also, I have to share my latest craft! Our ward relief society has been doing a project over the last year that has just been completed. I'd like to share!
We worked on about a block a month. I actually pieced a quilt. I didn't cut any of the fabric, but hey...this was a first for me.
So, after I finished this quilt two weeks ago, I felt so skilled (ha-ha) that I went to a local quilt store, spent a lot of money, got a cutting lesson from sweet Chelsie and made this in five days for Kedzie. (It has two more rows not pictured!)
She loves it. And when I say, "Do you want to see my quilt?" She says, "mom, it's my quilt!" So, Kedzie's quilt is crazy, but fun and I was successful! I cut all the material, I sewed it together and I didn't neglect my children as much as you might think. I only quilted when Alex or all of the kids were asleep...thereby neglecting Travis! Anyway, I don't know where this is going to take me, because let's be honest; if you know my mom and my extended family, we aren't "wanting" for any quilts around here. But, it was a fun project. And, I reminisced about my days in 4-H with Alison and being taught by her mom Coral how to sew and for her, I'm grateful. I'm also grateful that Chelsie is so patient in her teaching of the art of cutting and sewing a pieced quilt! Now, Ethan wonders when he gets a quilt?! In due time, in due time. Kathy has offered to hand quilt Kedzie's. What a treasure that will be.
Just had to report some of our on-goings.

AMAZING! I love it! You could almost call us domestic now. We can quilt, but I guess since we don't cook we cannot use that title. :)
That's so funny, cause before I even read your 4-H comment, I was thinking that same thing! Kedzie's(your) quilt is darling! I did rag quilts for both mine, they are very easy and forgiving if you arent skilled in cutting straight, like me.
Well, since I will NEVER quilt (at least I can't imagine that I ever will) you can quilt for me. Since you have such an embarrassment of riches at your house ;).
(I do cook though, so can I be called domestic??)
