I've always wanted to be a cowgirl...never gonna happen. However, there is a little bit of hope for my kids. I don't necessarily want them to live on a farm or anything, but I want them to experience riding horses and not being afraid of getting dirty and working hard. I hope that makes sense. So, I made sure our family made it to the County Fair again this year! It counts for something right?! Kedzie and I went to the Rodeo one night and the next night, we all went to the fair to ride grimy rides and play with the animals in the petting zoo. Also, we had to take a ride on the ponies of course! We had a great time. The kids LOVE the animals and Travis and I love seeing them happy! It all worked out well. Kedzie made it almost 2 1/2 hours without getting bored at the rodeo and even a week later pretends that she is "Pee-Wee" the rodeo horse and bucks around the living room performing for us or anyone who will watch for that matter. It's great. The love of animals is there. Now if we could just get a horse that could live in our backyard! Keep dreaming!

It looks like you are having a really fun summer. Caleb went to the rodeo with my parents a few weeks ago too, and he can't stop talking about it. In fact today he and Cara were pretending they were horses. Caleb made Cara be the barrel racing horse and he was the bucking horse. Isn't it fun to watch our kids grow.
